Intranet portal
The objective was to modernise the user experience of the corporate intranet portal, which delivers news, training materials, compliance documentation, and other specialised content to Isuzu dealerships across Australia.
User flows analysis
- Firstly, I focused on understanding user behaviours, needs, and motivations through analysis of existing tasks, workflows, and feedback in order to assess the impact of the current design on its audience.
- To fully understand how the portal was being utilised, I spent a significant amount of time with stakeholders throughout the process. It was important to clarify what they aimed to achieve with the new version of the portal.
Advanced filtering
- With this knowledge I re-designed the existing workflows and optimised the filtering and sorting functionality to enable more efficient user-device interaction. Additionally a new tag-based filtering system was incorporated to allows users to quickly access the information while redculing unnecessary distractions.
Multi-device support
- With the need to use various devices in the field, the app users expect a consistent experience of the mission critical workflows. I refined the UI to ensure it looks and functions consistently across mobile phones and tablets. Taking into account differences imposed by the screen size and touch behavior patterns, the UI is equally efficient on all platforms and supports portrait and landscape orientations.
Working prototype
- As a part of the agreement, I also developed a fully functional prototype of the project on HTML/CSS prototype of the project, which was demonstrated and handed over to the development team.
