Intranet portal
The goal was to update the user experience of the corporate portal providing news, training, compliance and other specialised articles to Isuzu dealerships across Australia.
User flows analysis
- Firstly, I focused on understanding user behaviors, needs, and motivations through existing task, workflows, and feedback analysis in order to understand the impact of the current design on the audience.
- To fully understand how the portal is utilised, I spent a significant amount of time with the stakeholders throughout the process. It was important to know what they are looking to achieve in the new version of the portal.
Advanced filtering
- With this knowledge I re-designed the existing workflows and optimised the filtering and sorting functionality to allow for more efficient user-device interaction. Additionally a new tag-based filtering system has been incorporated to allows users to quickly access the information they want, isolating user from unnecessary distractions.
Multi-device support
- With the need to use various devices in the field, the app users expect a consistent experience of the mission critical workflows. I tuned a UI to look and function consistently on both mobile phone and tablets. Taking into account differences imposed by the screen size and touch behavior patterns, the UI is equally efficient on all platforms and supports vertical and horizontal orientation.
Working prototype
- As a part of the agreement I also developed a fully functional prototype of the project on HTML/CSS that has been demoed and handed over to the development teams.
