Isuzu Australia
Intranet portal
Challenge: The objective was to modernise the user experience of Isuzu Australia’s corporate intranet portal, improving access to company news, training resources, compliance documentation, and other essential content for dealerships nationwide.
User flows analysis
- Firstly, I focused on understanding user behaviours, needs, and motivations through analysis of existing tasks, workflows, and feedback in order to assess the impact of the current design on its audience.
- The first step was to understand user behaviours, needs, and motivations by analysing existing tasks, workflows, and stakeholder feedback. This research helped identify pain points and evaluate how the current design impacted users.
- To gain a comprehensive understanding of how the portal was used in practice, I worked closely with stakeholders throughout the project. These discussions helped clarify their business objectives and define the goals for the redesigned portal.
Advanced filtering
- Based on these insights, I redesigned key workflows and optimised the filtering and sorting experience to improve efficiency and reduce the effort required to find relevant information. I also introduced a tag-based filtering system, allowing users to quickly locate content while minimising unnecessary distractions.
Multi-device support
- As the portal needed to support employees working across a variety of environments, it was essential to provide a consistent experience on different devices. I refined the interface to ensure it functioned seamlessly across mobile phones and tablets, adapting layouts and interactions to different screen sizes and touch patterns while supporting both portrait and landscape orientations.
Working prototype
- As part of the project, I also developed a fully interactive HTML/CSS prototype that demonstrated the complete user experience. The prototype was presented to stakeholders and subsequently handed over to the development team as a reference for implementation.
